Muskathlon South Africa 2026

Muskathlon South Africa 2026 is a magnificent endurance event set in the breathtaking South African bushveld, where participants will run, walk, cycle, or climb through the wilderness, surrounded by the majestic Big 5 wildlife. This international event unites athletes from South Africa, Germany, Romania, and Poland to fight against injustice and support Brave to Love—an organisation dedicated to healing lives, impacting cities, and transforming nations in the battle against injustice.


Join us as we Run, Walk or Cycle for Justice against Human Trafficking in partnership with Brave to Love

Experience an unforgettable week full of sports, adventure, and faith! On-site, you’ll meet women who have survived human trafficking and hear their stories firsthand.​

 

Each participant sets a personal fundraising goal of R18,648 to support Brave to Love in building a new Safe House. Together, we create opportunities for education, job prospects, and independent living - leaving a lasting impact on the women’s lives.

Our Fundraising Goal

Our goal is to partner with Brave to Love in building a new safe house for victims of human trafficking.

General Information

Fundraising goal per participant: ZAR 18,648 for the work of Brave to Love.

Participants: Men and Women (18 years and older).

Organisers: This Muskathlon is organised by 4M (Germany and South Africa) in partnership with Brave to Love.

Registration deadline: 1 June 2026 (No registrations will be accepted after this date).

Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee of R1,500 - this is used for processing, admin and registration expenses and is excluded from your fundraising progress.

Participation Fee: A subsidised fee (Due to sponsorships) of R10,500 per participant will cover all expenses for the week of 23 - 30 October. This will include accommodation, meals, transport, activities, medical care, training, planning, preparing, and securing the route, as well as the jersey and bib number. Please note that this amount may change based on updated arrangements. This amount will be finalised 4 months ahead of the Muskathlon. Please note you do not have to pay any participation fee if you only choose to join the Muskathlon day itself.

Responsibility of each participant:

  • Meet your fundraising goal, it is a deliberately set benchmark to encourage exceptional commitment, encourage stepping outside one's comfort zone, and ultimately make a significant impact (Not reaching this goal is not a disqualifying factor).

  • Insurance and Medical Aid are the responsibility of the participant.

  • Independent organisation: Each participant is responsible for their own round-trip travel, visa, vaccinations, and sports equipment.

  • Ensure your Registration fee (and, if required, Participation fees) are paid at least four months before the start of the Muskathlon.

Services provided by the organisers 4M:

Participants will receive comprehensive support in all phases of their Muskathlon adventure.

Preparation phase:

  • Creating a participant profile on the Muskathlon.co.za website to collect donations.

  • Personal contact with 4M and Brave to Love for the preparation and organisation of the Muskathlon up to the start of the trip.

  • Advice and support with fundraising and training.

  • Networking with other participants.

During the Muskathlon week:

​Participants will receive full logistical and on-the-ground support, including:

  • All transport arrangements throughout the week.

  • Accommodation and meals.

  • Daily devotions and insights into the work of Brave to Love.

  • General medical care and ongoing sports training.

On Muskathlon Day:

  • Planning, preparation and securing of the route will be ready.

  • Jersey and Bib number for each participant.

  • Drinks, Food and medical care will be provided.
